Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Shoreline

An aircraft soaring above a well-attended California beach unexpectedly started spinning wildly, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm fronds as spectators looked on.

Recordings uploaded on social media show the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a steps close to the Pacific Coast highway.

First Aid Update

Local firefighters stated five people were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the accident on Saturday.

Three individuals on the street were harmed. Details on their injuries were not yet released.

What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
