The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

An official for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was made after an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.

The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
