The Cottagers Start Strong to Beat Spurs and Increase Pressure on Frank
Tottenham Hotspur supporters who booed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were informed afterwards "they cannot be real Tottenham fans" by manager Frank.
Spurs conceded two scores in the opening six minutes to lose 2-1 to their opponents, registering their 10th top-flight home loss of the year.
However the main topic of discussion was the visitors' second goal when Vicario lost possession well outside his box.
He ventured out to deal with a long ball and took the ball near the sideline.
However, rather than kicking it into touch, the Italy international spun and tried to clear, but slipped as the ball glanced off Wilson and was controlled by King.
King passed the ball off to Wales midfielder Wilson, who curled a shot into the goal from the sideline measured at thirty-six point six yards.
Moments later when the ball went to Vicario again, some Tottenham fans booed him.
The team were booed off at the interval, with the club 2-0 down, and once more at full-time.
One of those booing episodes really irritated the manager.
"It came to my attention some of our supporters apparently booed the situation and booed after, which, in my opinion is totally unjustifiable," the Danish manager stated regarding the fans' response to his shot-stopper.
"[They] cannot be real Spurs fans that do that. Alright jeering following the match, fine, but when we are in play, we are supporting each other, we are behind one another moving ahead."
Tete had handed Fulham a early lead prior to Wilson's strike – with Kudus scoring for Tottenham in an better second period performance.
Ex- Premier League goalkeeper Joe Hart stated that the next score was "completely preventable".
"I certainly appreciate the supporters' frustration," the ex-keeper continued. "I am aware the part the keeper is playing. He's a great squad member, he's a real leader in the locker room but in the end you are going to be judged by your decisions.
"The keeper was heavily implicated in what ended up to be the winning score."
Frank Defended His Keeper Vicario Following the Match
Italian national team the keeper is in his 3rd campaign with Spurs.
The 29-year-old said after the game that he had to take the feedback.
"That goal was a error of my own, I accept accountability for it," he said.
"My aim was to kick the ball far and I simply struck the ball in a poor way. It was an even bigger mountain to overcome."
He stated being booed "comes with football".
"I am mature, what can I say?" he added. "We cannot be influenced by the situation in the crowd. Supporters have the right to do as they see fit.
"It is on us to stay increasingly calm, to focus on ourselves. The team is missing in calmness and poise to overturn outcomes. This match is a bad defeat and it is hard to take."
Despite the keeper's error, it was not an simple score for Wilson to convert.
Actually it was the second longest-range top division score of the season – following Adams' forty-three point three metre strike for Bournemouth against Sunderland, which interestingly also came on the same day.
The goalscorer said he was "somewhat surprised" that he still had an empty goal to target.
Ten moments passed between Vicario coming out of his box and Wilson shooting – which was five seconds following the clearance.
"I felt like the keeper was away from the box for ages," he said.
"I was surprised none of the defenders went back to the line. When none of them defended the goal, my interest sparked somewhat.
"[Destiny] Udogie slipped as well, which gave me a little extra opportunity. Then it was all about trying to make the right contact and get it towards goal. I had a good feeling, as soon as it left my boot, that it was heading in."
Jeering While We Are Still in Play Is Totally Unjustifiable - Frank
Although Vicario's mistake dominated headlines, this was an all-round poor day for Spurs to extend their home woes.
The match was their 10th at home loss of 2025 in the league, a shared team record along with nineteen ninety-four and 2003.
They still have home games against Frank's old side the Bees and title holders Liverpool to come prior to the end of the season.
Only one of those victories have occurred since Frank took over from his predecessor in the summer.
"If you are behind 2-0 following six minutes, there is a mountain to overcome," said Frank.
"When you're in a bad spell, everything seems to work against you too – the first was a deflected shot, the second is a mistake from Vic.
"The outcome leaves us in a position where we have suffered another game. Every game has a unique story, today we lost in the first six minutes.
"We just need to keep working. The second half was much better and with luck something we can utilize to develop."
Tottenham have been defeated in 4 straight home London derbies for the initial time in the Premier League.
And they are averaging 9.5 attempts and 3.2 efforts on goal per match in the Premier League – their lowest averages on file in a single campaign (since at least the 2003-04 season).
Ex- Fulham midfield player Danny Murphy commented that the manager has to endure the criticism.
"He must take the stick," Murphy said. "He has taken a prestigious job at a huge team with massive anticipation. There is pressure and responsibility that accompanies that.
"Their showings at home have been poor and they have to improve {quickly|
