UK Armed Forces Bases to House Asylum Seekers in Initiative to End Hotel Use

Hundreds individuals seeking protection may be housed in defense installations as the government seeks to terminate the utilization of temporary lodging.

Discussions are ongoing regarding the utilization of two facilities - one in northern Britain and a second in the southern England - for housing for 900 male individuals.

The Prime Minister has instructed Interior Ministry and Ministry of Defence authorities to expedite work to locate appropriate armed forces locations.

The administration has vowed to end the operation of asylum hotels, which have required substantial taxpayer money and emerged as a focal point for anti-asylum seeker rallies.

Under Consideration Defense Locations

Migrants could be housed in the Inverness barracks in the Scottish city and Crowborough military training facility in the southern county by the conclusion of the coming month.

Commercial facilities, temporary accommodation and vacant properties are also being reviewed for possible utilization.

Government Statements

Administration officials indicated that all sites would meet health and safety standards.

"We are furious at the extent of individuals without proper documentation and asylum hotels."

Current Housing Statistics
